League History
About the P.I.R.H.L.
•The Pennsylvania Interscholastic Roller Hockey League was founded to provide high school-aged youngsters the opportunity to represent their high schools while playing In Line Hockey.
WPIHSINHL was founded by Bob Arturo of Island Sports Center.
•The inaugural 1999 season featured 18 teams from nine schools including Seneca Valley, North Allegheny, Fox Chapel, Cannon MacMillan, Hampton, Avonworth, Northgate and Vincentian Academy.
•In our sixth season, the league has now grown to over 24 schools which will field over 72 teams.
•This season we are offering eight divisions, Varsity Tier I, II & III, Junior Varsity Tier I & II, 6th-8th Tier I, II & III and a new Elementary division for 2005.
•The Pennsylvania Interscholastic Roller Hockey League is registered with AAU. Each player and coach must therefore register with AAU.
